FAQ: Common Custom Food Code Errors

Why are the nutrition values so high or so low when I use a custom food code?

When entering a custom food code, be sure to press CUSTOM before entering the two digits of the custom code.  For example, to enter custom code 12 press CUSTOM, then 1, then 2.  If the code has been entered correctly, the display should read “U12” NOT “0012”.  

If the custom code has been entered correctly but the values are still extremely high or low, verify that the serving size programmed into the custom food code has the correct value and units (grams or ounces).
